Our lodging for this part of the journey was Hotel Atlántico Centro, a charming little spot right on one of the main thoroughfares called Calle Castillo. Originally we were in Hotel Oceano, a joint owned hotel 30 metres down the road which was OK but stuffy. They are working on the addition of air conditioning. After talking with Deres, a polite, friendly and helpful desk clerk he moved us into Atlantico, room 402 which was great, overlooking the promenade. Little noisy late at night because of revellers returning from social activities but doesn’t last very long. Santa Cruz is a nice little spot, occasionally busy from the cruise crowds but not overly so.

Loved the location, right in the centre. The lift was not working when I stayed there, however, they were kind enough to offer me different options. I went with the discount and decided to take the stairs. However, they were nice enough to call a member of staff to take my suitcases up to my room. Amazing the customer experience. The room was basic but bed is comfortable and enough space for 2 people. Bathroom was nice and new. Very happy with my stay. Definitely value for money and if you don´t expect to spend much time in the room during your Santa Cruz visit and are on a tight budget, definitely recommend to stay here.

The room was quite nice, small, clean, but without bedding, only a blanket. Everything is fine with the bathroom. However, the room on the inside means you can literally hear everything from all floors because it is not soundproof. You can even hear the TV when your neighbor was playing, or when your neighbor was taking a shower... you could hear the water running!! Very loud and impossible to sleep without earplugs. No air conditioning/heating, only one fan, and you can't open the window because you can hear all the noise from all floors. No hair dryer...

The hotel is is the heart of Santa Cruz, right on one of the main peatonal streets. Luckily, our window was to the interior patio, so we did not hear any noise from the street. The room was super big (hor a hotel un Spain, haha) and the bathroom huge and clean. The bed was super comfortable. Also the staff is nice and helpful. If you rent a car and you are confortable with a 10 mins walk, the parking of the Harbour is free. You also have 2 other underground parkings right near the hotel, but for us it seemd kind of expensive to park the car there overnight.

Nice and cozy old fashioned city center hotel. I liked old big double windows and narrow balcony with wooden barrier. Room has everything nessessary for city center base, suitable for few nights stay/sleep. Walls seemed to be soundproof but doors were not original (not same pair with rest of woodwork) and all sound from hallway came through door. If you are light sleeper, ask for courtyard (maybe 5x5m) view. We had street wiew and windows wide open all night, so enjoyed sounds of city.
